As a dedicated supporter of the Bay Foundation, Ms. Finch has dedicated herself to efforts to improve the campus and student features of Bay West so these students have greater opportunities to thrive and succeed.
She has over 30 years of experience and has practiced throughout the Western counties of the Upper Peninsula at the trial and appellate court levels the United States Federal District Court and the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals.
A native of Detroit, Ms. Finch moved to the Upper Peninsula in 1986, which has been her home ever since. While pursuing her degrees she focused on the fields of personal injury and employment law. She is dedicated to providing high-quality service to her clients, in an ethical and professional manner.
She is also very active in community work. Previously, she has held board positions with Memorial Hospice, Pine Mountain Music Festival, and the Caring House Domestic Violence Shelter. She also devoted over fifteen years as a Dickinson County 4-H leader, three years as the Dickinson County 4-H Council President and as the proud parent of three 4-H children! Nancy earned her B.A. with majors in Political Science and Journalism from Wayne State University in 1982. Four years later she graduated from the University of Detroit School of Law with her law degree. She immediately moved to the Copper Country to work as a trial attorney for Wisti & Jaaskelainen. In 1990 Ms. Finch moved to Iron Mountain and opened her firm.
